7 Dots Studio and Scrapmatts!

Hi Everyone... back with you again today to share another layout of my gorgeous niece using 7 Dots Domestic Goddess Papers.
Simply Beautiful
To create this ruffled look, I used 3 sheets of "White Apron" from the Domestic Goddess Collection. I cut the paper in strip and randomly punched with two different punches. I then inked the edges and glued down. I also did stamping with different stamps from all three collections.
I printed two photos and cut out the image and layered on top of the chipboard frame. I also cut the extra picture in strips, punched and layered to blend in with the background.

Hi everyone...Its that time again to share a couple of projects made with beautiful 7 Dots Studio products.
My niece just graduated from High School and I was lucky enough to capture some pictures of this beautiful young lady!

I used papers from Love is in the Air and Cold Country and I just love the contrast between those two gorgeous collections. I cut all the paper leaves and my title from the Love is in the Air "Just dreaming" paper using my Silhouette. Here are a few closeups...

7 Dots Studio June Challenge!

Hi's time once again for a brand new Challenge over at 7 Dots Studio!!
The theme this month is to use stamps on your projects and here is what I came up with!
Spread Your Wings
I took this photo of my niece at her High School Graduation ...isn't she beautiful!!
The June Challenge of  Including Stamping on your layout was an easy one for me as I always put the gorgeous 7 Dots Stamp collections to good use. I love to imperfectly random stamp on my backgrounds and the script stamp from the Cold Country collection is always a nice touch to photos. I know I have said this before by I love the Butterflies from the Nature Walk stamp Collection! I stamp them on acetate with Staz On Ink and then cut then can even layer them for that extra dimension!!
Here are a couple of closeups...
I cut the grassy image from the paper and then added some dried grass to my flower cluster.

Guest Designer at Petaloo!!!

Hi there everyone!!I am beyond excited to be Guest Designing for Petaloo and the Doodlebug "Birthday Week" Blog really is a dream come true!!

I immediately feel in love with the colors of the Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe Collection and the beautiful Petaloo flowers were a perfect match.
It just isn't a Birthday unless you have a cake and cupcakes for that sugar rush!!
So first up is the cake.....
This was soooo much fun to make!!!
The papers, flowers and trims all came together so easily to make this yummy cake. I made lots of rolled roses from the Sugar Shoppe papers to accent the gorgeous Petaloo Botanical flowers.
Here are a few closeups....
Aren't these Sugar Shoppe Embellishments cute!
I made the "icing" using molding paste, glitter, and beads and mists and it has so much sparkle in real life. I hope you can see it a little better in this photo!

Next up is a cupcake...
I made the liner from the Sugar Shoppe papers and stickers and cut the Petaloo Velvet Hydrangeas(Cream & Geranium) in half to form the layers of my cupcake. I once again added the icing and a few beads for sprinkles!
Here is a closeup of the flower cluster on the side:
So in keeping with the theme, whats a birthday without a card!!
I kept it simple letting the gorgeous flower cluster be the focus with just a few splatters of mist to top it off!
Products Used:
Petaloo Canterbury Roses
Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe Paper collection and stickers.
Scrapmatts CB4009 Butterflies

Lindy Stamp Gang Mist(Azure sea Asters, Frozen Jack frost)
Make sure you head to the Petaloo Blog to see if you are a winner!!
It has been so much fun and congrats to all the winners!!

7 Dots & Berry Bleu...Simple Pleasures!!

Hi everyone...this month the designers at 7 Dots Studio are Guest Designing over at Berry Bleu.
The theme and moodboard this month, Simple Pleasures was created by Tusia and it inspired me to make this!!
And here's the moodboard...

When I saw Tusia's beautiful Mood board, I knew that the Domestic Goddess Collection would be  a perfect color match and a great chance to scrap this picture of my girl and I on Mother's day last year.

For my background, I cut strips and weaved together. I then applied a thin coat of gesso with a plastic bag, added mist and inks, and used the gorgeous Nature Walk Damask Mask for added texture.
I was also inspired by the beautiful flowers and butterflies so of course there was some stamping       using the butterfly stamps in the Nature Walk Stamp Collection.
Here are a few more closeups...

Be sure to check out the BerryBleu blog for loads of inspiration and there's awesome prizes up for grabs so be sure to play along!!
Happy Scrapping

Let's Celebrate Scrap Around The World's 1st Anniversary!!

Hi everyone....This month all of us at 7 Dots Studio are excited to announce that we are one of the TEN EPIC EVENT ANNIVERSARY event sponsors at Scrap Around The World & are also one of their Guest Design Teams!  Tusia is also representing us as one of the 10 chosen Guest Judges & we are so pleased to be involved in this great event, celebrating SATW’s First Birthday!
This is no ordinary month at Scrap Around the World.  9 out of 10 of the prizes awarded will be going to past Winners, Features or Finalists (those featured on their legendary Wall of Fame in the past year) & one prize will be awarded to a totally NEW winner {someone who has never featured on their Wall of Fame before}.  This is so that TEN EPIC WINNERS can be selected as the TOP TEN PLAYERS of 2013/14 at Scrap Around The World!

This will be a yearly competition held at this fantastic challenge blog & we are honoured to be a part of this inaugural event.  Please support Helen & her team at SATW by playing along this month.  There are 10 prizes, each valued at approximately $100 up for grabs, including free postage as usual, so it is so worth it, plus the inspiration is amazing!”'s what I created for this inspiring event....
I just love how I can steal my daughter's selfies!!
And here is the gorgeous moodboard...
I was so inspired by the beautiful color palette and the twine and doilies wrapped around the presents and just has to incorporate these beautiful images into my layout.
I used the gorgeous Illumination Collection from 7 Dots Studio as it was a perfect color match for the mood board. I used the butterfly stamp from the Nature Walk stamp set and stamped using gesso instead of ink for the pretty butterfly images in my background.
You Will also find 7 Dots Chipboard tucked here and there on my layout and of course my FAVORITE script stamp from the Cold Country stamp set. My title is stamped on my photo and comes from the Illumination stamp set. Are you beginning to get the impression that I love 7 Dots Stamps :)
And here is another closeup....
