Creative Scrappers #127

Good morning fellow scrappers. It's time for another GORGEOUS sketch over at Creative Scrappers and this one is a beauty...loved working with it!

And this is what I made.
This is another layout for the wedding album. I used My Minds Eye Meadowlark Collection...love those papers.I bought the lace around the circle and the metal butterfllies on ebay first when I started scrapping, so glad to finally get a chance to use it.

I handmade the bling  and did some stamping on the flowers and around the edges with red ink. The title and the red swirl are rub ons are from My minds eye.

Make sure you head over to Creative Scrappers and check out all the beautiful layouts from the design team and create a layout using the sketch for a chance to win a great prize!

Sweet Smile

I took a much needed break from studying and finally took my Scrap That!  October kit out of the box. Think I may of went a little bit overboard but I blame that on  now not being able to scrap very often! I just bought two gorgeous stamps from Heartfelt Creations and I love them! I have the script stamp and a beautiful leaf stamp and I used both on this layout. I stamped on the background brown cardstock and on the butterflies. A piece of cork also came with the kit and I used it behind the butterflies and as a mat for my picture.

You can even use your puch on it! I painted the doily brown and did a little doodling with a gel pen. I made the vine from a berry spray bought at the dollar store. I used the leaf stamp on some leaves from my stash and just cut around.

Thanks so much for looking! Now I have to hit the books again...more midterms on Monday and Tuesday. Happy Scrapping!!!

Frame Alteration!

I was sitting at the table studying and looked up at this frame and being in constant scrapper mode, thought it looked pretty boring. I had just recieved a beautiful script stamp from Heartfelt Creations and was dying to use it. Took the frame off the wall and headed to the scraproom...I was on a mission. I used my brown ink and inked all the edges and then I put my stamp to work!!!And this is the end result....LOVE it!! It is boring no more!!

Creative Scrappers Reveal Sketch #125

I am so excited and a little nervous  to be posting this layout. It is my first layout as a member of Creative Scrappers Design team.Check out the beautiful work of the Design team here and be sure to check back because there will be 70 reveals of this sketch all week with lots of great prizes to celebrate 125 Sketches at Creative Scrappers!!!!I can't wait to see all the creations!

This picture was taken of my daughter the day of her Kindergarten Graduation. I used papers from Scrap That! September Kit and the doilies I got at the dollar store. I painted them with Ranger dimensional paint...they are very shimmery.

I did some sewing and used Martha Stewart Stamps for the swirls($5.00 at Walmart).I made the brown roses from the same ribbon I used  around the page and I got the idea for the lighter flower from my scrapper friend Michelle. Thanks so much for looking.

Have a Great week!!!

Precious

Hi all....I know it's been awhile since I posted anything.I have been really busy with my course but I did skip off a few times and made a couple of layouts but couldn't post them because they were future sketches for Creative Scrappers. My first reveal as a member of the Design team will be on Sunday and I am feeling a little nervous!

Anyway...I made this layout of my daughter using the beautiful Bloom & Grow papers from My Mind's eye....such pretty colors.I didn't do any distressing this time and whenever I don't distress, I feel as if I have left something out! I don't know how many times I have went to use the Websters bloomers and took them off again but they were perfect for these papers

. I knotted some ribbon and twisted it before I glued it to go around the circle. I made the butterfly using Gabriellep's technique found here but I used beads instead of clay and added a little diamond dust to the wings. You can't really see the embossing in the photo.

The letters and frame are from previous Scrap That! Kits and I tried Crackle Paint for the first time...love the look! The bird is from a stamp used on cardstock..just inked and added a little Stickles.

I will be back on Sunday to post my first Creative Scrappers Design Team layout...Sketch #125. Thanks so much for looking and have a Wonderful weekend. I will be studying!
