Creative Scrappers Sketch 131

I can't believe that 2 weeks has passed since my last sketch for Creative Scrappers! Time is flying by and before you know it....Christmas will be here!
This is another beautiful sketch but I think I went a little(maybe alot) off track with this one...here is what I came up with.
First of all, I have to tell you about a wonderful Etsy shop, Kays Creative Corner where I bought the beautiful flower vine.

Kay sells beautiful embellishments so head over to her etsy and take a look...you won't be disappointed! The photo is of me when I was a wee little girl. The background paper is from K & Company and the cream cardstock(Misted with pink and green and did a little stamping) and butterfly rubons are from My Minds Eye. I painted the chipboard letters with three different colors and then stamped with a script stamp and inked a little.

I braided some green ribbon and weaved it through the doily and tied some around the alphas.
That's it for me, so head over to Creative Scrappers and see the beautiful creations the other design team ladies have created. Get inspired  and create a layout based on the sketch for a chance to win a great prize from Scrapbook Sussies. Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!

Altered Birdhouse

Hi everyone...here is a project I just completed . I did the roof by handcutting all the circles(don't have a circle punch) and then inked and applied Diamond dust to each and every circle...I was glad when that was done!!

I added the fibers to give the look of icicles and just glued a few christmas sprigs along the bottom. I stamped around the hole  added a little bling and made the little wreath.

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Creative Scrappers Sketch 129

Good morning everyone....it's time to reveal another gorgeous sketch over at Creative Scrappers. Here is the sketch......
And here's what I did.......
This sketch really stumped me and it took awhile to get the juices flowing. The papers and white flowers were from a previous Scrap That Kit and the background paper is white cardstock I stamped with a script stamp. I painted behind the photo with some acrylic paint , did a little stamping and some hand stitching.I braided some white satin ribbon and fastened the ends with some wire and beads

. I wanted to give this layout a frosty look so I applied Diamond dust to everything! To do the title, I tore the paper of some chipboard and painted it white and the stamped it with the script stamp , inked the edges and added more Diamond dust. You can find a tutorial at the awesome blog of Lisa Gregory.

So head over to Creative Scrappers and see the beautiful creations of the other design team ladies, and create a layout using the sketch for a chance to win a great prize from Scrapbook Sussies. Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

Christmas 1982

Hi everyone, This photo is of my two brothers and myself from way back in 1982. I am still tring to figure out why my mother felt a need to dress me like my brothers! I was inspired to to this layout after seeing this stunning layout by Jabbottscott....it is breathtaking!I used the Graphic 45 Steampunk papers from Octobers Scrap That Kit and did lots of distressing. The beautiful butterflies are from a file found over at Swirlydoos, I just inked the edges and added stickles and diamond dust. I hand made the bling and the small roses that are scattered about and handstitched 1982 and added stickles.

The leaves are made using a leaf stamp from Heartfelt Creations,I just chalked and glimmermisted some brown cardstock.. I used 2 photos, a 4x6 and a 5x7, I just matted the smaller one and layered it over the 5x7

I will be back on Sunday with another post because it is reveal day for Sketch 129 over at Creative Scrappers so until then ...Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a great Weekend!
