Creative Scrappers Sketch 141

Good morning all...Gonna show you another awesome sketch from Creative Scrappers.
Here is my take:

I used papers and butterflies from K and Company Susan Winget Nature collection...very pretty!I removed the center of the paper and pop dotted the top layer to give a shadow box effect and I handstitched around the butterflies and flowers.

I handmade the bling, used a Heartfelt creations stamp for the leaves and added some Webster's Bloomers( I cut up one of the green bloomers and pushed between the layers. I bought the ribbon a long time ago at Walmart, it matched the papers perfectly.

Well that's it for now...head over to Creative Scrappers and see what the other design team ladies created...bet ya won't be disappointed! Be inspired...create a layout using the sketch and enter it for a chance to win a great prize. Kristen is also having a Creative Team Call...be sure to check it out!

I Love You

Hi everyone....Here's another wedding layout. I made this using mostly items found in the January Scrap That! Kit. The papers are My Minds eye Union Square and the butterflies(from kit) and chippies(from my stash) came from Mugglescrappers beautiful etsy found here. Besure to check it out!

I altered the chippie flourish by adding 3 colors of paint and just dabbing it on with my fingers. I also added stickles and Dimensional glaze(also came with kit).

I did the usual stitching, distressing  and did a little masking with some chaulk.
That's it for now and thanks for looking! I will be back on Sunday to show you another awesome sketch from Creative Scrappers!

Have a happy ,scrappy weekend!

Creative Scrappers Sketch 139

Hi again everyone ! It's time for another awesome Sketch from Creative Scrappers!
And here is my take
This is another layout for the wedding album. I used a tutorial by the amazingly creative Ingvild Bolme for the wave edge...it can be found here. It is a bit time consuming but the end result is so pretty!I don't have a wavy edge punch so I just used my scalloped scissors.
The papers are from My Minds Eye Meadowlark collection. I made the black and white flower from another awesome tutorial found on Gabrielle Polacco's blog and pleated some white satin ribbon.

I painted the alphas and the leaves and stamped with a script stamp

I also stamped the photo with the script stamp but it is a little hard to see in the photo.I printed the text in word, added some stickles and just scribbled along the edges with black scribbles paint
Well that's it for now. Head over to Creative scrapppers to see the awesome layouts of the other ladies and check out the details of Kristine's Design Team Call....it's a wonderful team to be part of!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Snow Angel

Hi everyone...I have been making the most of my winter break and have been scrapping like crazy. I have completed 4 of the 6 layouts I was determined to do but I will not be keeping warm with the quilt because I have only done 1 block..lol. I completed this layout for an awesome contest over at My Creative Scrapbook.

These sweet photos were taken a couple of years ago and I love them! I did some handstitching and machine stitching and made my own bling(tutorial here). I made the leaves using my Heartfelt Creations leaf stamp and added a little stickles. The beautiful papers and butterflies are from K and Company Susan Winglet collection.
Here is another layout I forgot to share. I made this for my friend for Christmas, the 3 cuties are her Grandchildren. I made this layout from the Teresa Collins Noel Collection...did lots of disterssing and layering.
Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day!

Creative Scrappers Sketch 137

Happy New Year everyone...hope it's a creative one. It's time for another great sketch over at Creative Scrappers.

And here is what I came up with:

Every summer, at our festival there is a demolition derby...I hate them. I just don't understand the concept of putting a bunch of cars in a pit so they can drive like lunatics and smash into each other...must be a male thing! So when my son and his best friend turned 17, they decided they were entering. They spent months working at their cars and loved every minute. If they only knew how many times I wished their cars would not work! They both made it to the final round and were the last 2 cars going, so they were forced to hit each other. When they did, both cars died and they tied, so they were both winners.
I really struggle doing masculine layouts.I did lots of stitching and painting and added lots of wire.I downloaded the flags from clipart and did a little distressing and painted some burlap black

I went searching through my husbands tool box and found a few metal embellies. The alphas are Thickers and the rubons are from My minds Eye.
So head over to Creative Scrappers and see what the other design team ladies have created and be inspired to create a layout with this awesome sketch! Happy Sunday to you!
