Hi everyone...so happy to be sharing my first reveal as a designer for the BEAUTIFUL Scrap That! Kit Club. Today, we will be sharing the beautiful Scrap That! April Serendipity Kit.  If you have just arrived here from Linda ’s   blog you are in the correct place!  If not, head back to the Scrap That! blog for the blog hop order and links.
Today I’m going to share with you my project using the Scrap That! April “Serendipity” Kit featuring the Kaiser Craft Sweet Nothings Paper Collection.
My first layout is of Claudine on the day of her first Semi Formal Dance.
This kit included so many Kaisercraft goodies. The papers were from the Sweet Nothings Collections...so beautiful. Just perfect for fussy cutting. I did the usual sewing and some stamping. I also ordered the paper add-on kit so I was able to cut out the chandelier and pop dot it over the same image and added some Kaisercraft bling and pearls. The wooden gate is also from  Kaisercraft and I painted it white and added some of the bronze Stickles included in the kit to give it a aged, rusty look.
Just have a look at this gorgeous butterfly. It was hard to capture just how pretty it is in a photo but it is so sparkly in real life(tutorial to follow)
MY next layout is also of my sweet girl.
This one was a lot of fun to do. I made the background by applying gesso to a butterfly mask and adding some microbeads while still wet. I made the second image by simply turning the mask over and applying the wet side down. I then dried with the heat gun and went a little crazy with the Glimmermist. I also outlined the butterfly with the White Gel Pin included in the Kit. The stamp is from my stash.
I brightened the flowers on the paper by applying glimmermist with a small paint brush.I also changed the color of the flowers with Glimmermist...wonderful stuff! I cut a few strips and also made a few rolled paper roses.
On to my last layout...sorry if this is getting a bit long. This is hubby and me...photos of us are scarce and it is my intention to change that.
I did some punching and traced around the butterflies using the white gel pen. I made the little heart from trim included in the kit and punched out a few flowers from the paper using the small retro punch. Here are just a few closeups

Well, thats it for me. Here a a few photos of the kit. Be sure to place your order cause they wont last long!

The Blog Hop begins  at SOUS, so just follow along the blog path. We are linking to one of the SOUS designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on.  In case there is a glitch along the way, here is a complete list of all the participating blogs:

If you arrived here from the lovely Sandi Clarkson's blog you are on the right track. I will not be officially joining the SOUS DT until May when I finish school but I wanted to take part in this awesome Get To Know You Blog Hop! I created this layout of myself back in October for a Swirlydoo Challenge and found it quite hard to do but felt it was necessary because years down the road, family looking at my albums will be thinking that my kids didn't have a mother. I will be satisfied if I can do just one a year of myself...something I think we should all be doing.
Here are my answers to the 10 questions and I gotta say that I found these questions quite challenging.
1. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Why?
Wow...I found this to be a really tough question to answer. I am going to say yellow because I love for things to be bright and cheerful.
2. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Gosh...another question that is stumping me because I am a very boring person.Let's see... I have major hearing loss in both my ears and cannot function around others without my hearing aid. How boring is that!!
3. What 5 things are always on your crafting table?
1.paper cutter
2.inks
3.scissors for distressing
4. glue runner
5.sewing machine
4. Your go-to embellishment is ...
Flowers
5. What is your all-time favorite crafting tool?
I have to say that my favorite crafting tool would have to be my sewing machine. I having a Singer Fashion Mate and I use it on all my layouts. My husband needed some pants sewn and he pointed out that he was quite certain that it could sew more than just paper.

6. Tell us about your family .. first in one word. Then in a sentence or two.
Goofy...lol. I am married to Allan and we have 2 great kids. My son, Rick is 20 and Claudine is 13. We all have quiet personalities but when there are only the four of us around, we are a bunch of goofy jokesters who really enjoy a good laugh.
7. What is your dream vacation?
Anywhere it is sunny with a sandy beach and a warm ocean. We have BEAUTIFUL beaches but the Atlantic Ocean can be quite cold. Even in August, your toes go numb when you step into the water.
8. Who is your favorite crafty company?
 My favorite is Prima.
9. Tell us a bit about your crafty style.
Its hard to define my crafty style. I love the distressed, shabby chic look but I also love to get messy with mists, paints and gesso
10. Where do you live?
I live in a tiny community in beautiful Newfoundland, Canada with a population of about 1,100 people. My nearest scrapbooking store is a Michaels which is 4 hours away so I do my shopping online. Here is a photo taken from my patio today. Its beautiful during summer but can be quite nasty during winter.
